The Christmas Goose will be hosting a Winter Sew-In on December 8th from 10:30am-5:30pm.  All members are invited to reserve a spot and spend the day finishing up those last minute projects!  The cost is $15 and you can sign up with The Christmas Goose.

As a reminder, our December 19th meeting will be our first Holiday Sewcial!  Join your guild members for an evening of quilting talk, games and of course, show and tell, as we wrap up 2018 and get excited for 2019!  Your ticket for dinner is $10 and can be purchased up to December 10th.  Purchase your ticket via PayPal to or by check to 4650 Ranch House Road #104, North Las Vegas, NV 89031.

Now is the time to renew your LVMQG Membership!  Renew prior to January 1st, 2019 for $40; membership fee will increase to $45 on January 1st.

The December swap is a Fat Quarter Swap.  If you remember last years swap, buy (or find in your stash) 2 yards of fabric, cut it into Fat Quarters and bring it to swap with your guild members.  You take home 8 NEW fat quarters.  We will do a Low Volume and a solid pastel swap.  You can participate in one, both or neither.

The December Block Lottery is an Astricks Block.  The tutorial can be found on Stash Bee (just click here!).  Any solid background with black and white fabric for the asterisks.  This is a slice and insert block similar to our very popular Modern Trees Block for November!

Bobbie provided a very informative education piece on bindings to give us tips and tricks to get perfect corners on our bindings.  Some binding resources she recommended are: Marci Baker Quilt Binding, The Quilt Company, APQS and So Sew Easy.

Wishing you all finished Christmas Projects and time to sew for yourself!
– Hayle
